Q: How do I backup my TrekTrak or TrekTrakPro URL database?
A: The default TrekTrak database is a file named TrekTrak.mdb and is
located in a sub-folder named "database" within the folder where you
installed TrekTrak or TrekTrakPro. So if you accepted the default location
during installation it will be at c:\Program
Files\PCPMSoftware\TrekTrak\database. To backup all of your URLs simply
backup the TrekTrak.mdb file.
If you are using TrekTrakPro you may have created other TrekTrak databases
yourself so you may need to back these up as well.
Q: I get the following error message when trying to run TrekTrak:
"either EOF or BOF is true".
A: You probably have version 2.6 (or above) of Microsoft's Data Access Components (MDAC)
installed on your machine. TrekTrak was written to use MDAC 2.5 and
version 2.6 is not backwardly compatible. The latest versions of TrekTrak
and TrekTrakPro available from our download page
fix this problem.
Q: I have MDAC 2.6 (or above) installed on my computer. Can I use TrekTrak with
it?
A: Yes providing you have version 1.0.3.3 of TrekTrak or above or
version 1.0.4.3 of TrekTrakPro or above. You also need the Microsoft Jet
Database Engine Version 4.0 which was included in MDAC 2.5 but is not included
in 2.6 (or above). You can download this from Microsoft's site at http://www.microsoft.com/data/download_Jet4SP3.htm.
