Q: When I try to connect I get the message "Login failed for User 'username'"

A: Ensure that when you specify the username and password in the Microsoft Data Link properties dialog you also check the box entitled "Allow saving password".

Q: When I click the 'Default Connect' button the Microsoft Data Link Properties dialog still opens. Why is this when I have already specified a default connection string?

A: For security reasons pcpmSqlGen does not persist passwords from one session of the program to another. This means that when using the 'Default Connect' button for the first time in each session of running the program the Microsoft Data Link Properties dialog will open to allow the input of a password (the "Allow Saving Password" check box must also be checked). All other information in the Default Connection string is retained.

Q: The help supplied with pcpmSQLGen does not seem to work.

A: pcpmSqlGen Help makes use of Microsoft HTML Help.  If you are using Windows XP, 2000, ME or 98 you should not need any updates for html help.

For other versions of Windows you may need to run HHUPD.EXE which is available for download from the Microsoft download site.

For further details of HTML help or to download the latest version please refer to the Microsoft html help downloads site.
